With the traditional timber pole & Alpine steel rafter designs having the capability to clearspan up to 21m with 6m bays as standard, the Steel Portal range takes size and scale to the next level! These are suited to agricultural and farm use, for the large-scale operator who has quality assets to be covered.

These sheds are priced as standard C-purlins, which are typical in large steel sheds and can be prone to birds nesting. There is an option to upgrade to Steel Bone birdproof purlins to help eliminate birds roosting in the roof space. 

 

Birdproof vs non birdproof purlin designs

 

Everything except the concrete and related materials. All sheds come with barge flashings, guttering and downpipes, all fixings, and a detailed set of plans making the installation easy.

These sheds are predesigned in-stock kitsets. You can add as many bays as you like for additional cost (please find costings for this on each design).

We can hold the price and product for up to 6 months from the date of your initial deposit being received.

The standard Alpine shed design uses timber poles, an Alpine clearspan steel rafter with timber purlins and girts for framing. These have the capability to clear-span up to 21m with 6m bays as standard. 

With the structural Steel Portal range, this is an all steel design, enabling larger spans and wider bays to maximise space. 

These particular sheds have been value-engineered for rural projects. Commercial or industrial land projects have a different set of regulations, which these are not designed for. Submit your site address here to check if your site is suitable for these. 

These plans are predesigned at efficient sizes and heights, however, if you do require an alternative height, contact the team here to discuss your options.

All sheds are designed for very high wind ratings and 1kpa snow zones. If you would like us to check your site location for suitability, submit your site details here for confirmation.

Please note these sheds are not designed for areas close to the sea, prone to salt spray, or other corrosive environments. 

These particular sheds have been value engineered for rural projects. Commercial or Industrial land projects have a different set of regulations, which XL Structural are set up for. These sheds are not designed as standard for having office blocks incorporated. 

Alpine will lodge the building consent on your behalf and deal with any queries from the council.

This excludes council consent fee, which is passed on to you.

Alpine will send a Building Consent Requirement form to you along with the contract, this is a one-page document that will give us some site-specific details so we can lodge the consent.

If you do need a builder, reach out to the team and we can put you in touch with a contact from our database. A lot of clients will put these sheds up themselves or with help from a builder friend.

  • The shed is designed as a shell-only shed to importance level 1, not as a commercial/Habitable building.
  • Free delivery NZ wide, based on you providing forks to unload.
  • All prices + GST.
  • The cladding material is standard 0.4 gauge.
