Built for Generations
For years, our standard timber pole sheds have served Kiwi farmers well, spanning up to 24 metres with our Alpine Structural steel rafters. For many, that’s plenty.
However, after speaking to a number of farmers around New Zealand, the need for quality, long-lasting, large-scale agricultural sheds became clear.
If you need a shed with spans of 25 to 50 metres - and you want it to stand the test of time, an Alpine structural steel portal shed is built to last for generations.
Structural Steel
The structural steel system provides maximum durability and rust protection to provide a building that will last for multiple generations.

FAQs
Got questions? You’re not alone. Find clear, straightforward answers to the most common concerns about designing, building, and customising your shed.
Is the steel portal range bird-proof?
This standard Steel Portal range is not bird-proof. You can be upgraded to a bird-proof design for an additional cost.
How wide can the Steel Portal Range span?
Our new steel portal design can achieve clearspans starting at 25 meters, ranging up to 50 meters for large-scale implement storage and clearspan herd homes.
What width doors can I have on my implement and workshop shed?
The door size on your implement shed depends on the bay sizes. The common door sizes are 4.0 - 6.0m wide, depending on the size of your machinery. The wider the door, the more costly they tend to be. For extra wide door openings, sliding doors can be a good option.
How long do Alpine's Steel Portal sheds last?
Alpine uses structural steel to get the most durable building. This means you get a 50-year building consent, while many cheaper options will only get a 25-year building consent.
Designed for durability and efficiency, quality materials ensure your shed will stand strong for generations to come.
