Max Allison - Alpine Operations & Yard

The team has sent 5 sheds this month, with another 15 or so still to go. Some big sheds are leaving the yard this month, including Russell Dunstan, Bruce Tiddy, and Rana Lloyd, with more than 60 tonnes leaving the yard for these three sheds alone. The stripstacking team are watching timber dry as they go, with the warmth of the sun and wetness of the timber causing it to steam. The team is pumping out the sheds and working well together, while also catching up on timber levels.

Alie Brinded - Attika Project & Systems Administrator

Silverdale Trading Centre

Construction at Silverdale Trading Centre continues to progress well, with the team currently ahead of program. The roof is now on, protecting the internal works as they progress. The first slab pour is scheduled for 23 July, five days ahead of the original program date of 28 July.

Ewan Honda

Very nearing completion. This has been a project with a few challenges along the way, which have been worked through and will produce an excellent wee showroom and workshop facilities.

Aitken Joinery

Walls and roof are on providing shelter from the typical Southland weather, enabling the internal carpentry works and 1st fix of the services to take place in the……….dry! Progress at Aitken Joinery is well underway, with the team now installing GIB and internal guttering now up. Further internal work is on hold pending delivery of windows and doors. In the meantime, electricians are on site installing cable tray, and the Attika team is preparing the existing building with polythene and meshing ahead of the topper pad pour.

The team are looking forward to getting stuck into Apogee, Power Farming, Ballance and Eamon Balle projects which will start in the very near future. The total value of these 4 projects is $17.6m.

1 Nick has been hard at work on a $320k+ kit for Janine Heads, designing a cover over the existing shed yards in Waimumu. It's no straightforward job—every pole placement has been carefully considered to preserve as much of the existing yards as possible. A great example of the problem-solving and attention to detail that goes into delivering the best result.
